Celebrating Children's Day @ DAV Dwarka

We had a fun time in our school for the celebrations of Children's Day.

We had this celebration on 14th November itself, and it was not a holiday for students.

A display board about Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru placed at school playground
The children arrived in school on their usual school time. Since there was a Children's Day assembly planned, hence there was no assembly in the morning. Children had their fruit lunch in their classrooms itself.

After fruit lunch, teachers told students about our great leader and first Indian Prime Minister, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, who is also called as Chacha Nehru, and how he loved kids very much, and it is on the occasion of his birthday that we celebrate Children's Day every year.

After teachers informed children about Chacha Nehru, teachers took children to the school ground where they had their assembly, from LKG to IInd standard.

Children were really happy to read this which was placed at the entry of the school playground stage

One of our highly respected teachers, Mrs. K. ShashiKala conducted the whole event in school playgrounds.

Firstly, students from various sections of Ist standard sang a song and they really had a good time as seen in the picture below. They were trained by our very talented music teacher Mrs. Shilpi.

After the performance by Ist standard, UKG students performed on a song called "Big Big World".

After the performance by UKG students, LKG students performed on a song.

After the performance by LKG students, it was the turn of IInd standard students to perform on a song called "I have a dream",

We also celebrated birthdays of children who birthday came on 13th November. Our respected School Principal, Mrs. Monika Mehan wished them on their b'day. The whole school clapped for them and they were very happy.

With this, we closed a very eventful day in our school on a happy note, where everyone from students and teachers enjoyed to their fullest. Everyone was very appreciative of the way Mrs. Monika" supervised the whole event, and Mrs. K. ShashiKala organized things.

Hoping for such playful events in future.
